Named “the megawatt celebrity economist” by Canada’s national newspaper –and repeatedly cited as one of the most influential women in Canada, Sherry served as Chief Economist and Executive Vice-President of BMO Financial Group, where she was responsible for global economic and financial forecasting as well as country-risk and industry-risk analysis. She joined BMO Financial Group in 1994 when it acquired Burns Fry, where she had been Chief Economist, Co-Head of Fixed Income and the first female director of a Bay Street investment firm.
Well-known as a media commentator, Sherry’s third book—The New Retirement: How It Will Change Our Future—was a blockbuster best-seller. Canadian Mortgage Professionals Association (CMP) has named Sherry a Woman of Influence every year since 2016.
Dr. Cooper has an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. The University of Windsor awarded Sherry an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree in 2019 for her contribution to Canadian financial literacy.
Amanda also serves as a Deputy Judge of the Ontario Small Claims Court, where she adjudicates a broad range of civil matters. Her commitment to the legal profession extends to her role as a Coach and Advisor with the Law Society of Ontario, mentoring and supporting lawyers in their professional development.
Amanda is also an active member of the legal community, serving on the Advocacy Committee of the Ontario Deputy Judges Association, where she helps advance initiatives related to advocacy on behalf of Ontario Deputy Judges

Jamie Doolittle is a senior financial services leader with 18 years of experience at BMO Bank of Montreal. As Head, BMO BrokerEdge, she leads the execution of BMO’s broker channel strategy, driving innovation and strengthening partnerships across the mortgage broker ecosystem. Previously, as Head, Business Banking in Ontario, she championed entrepreneurship, business sustainability, and the advancement of women in business. A Board of Director of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and active speaker and mentor across women-focused leadership initiatives, Jamie was named a WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Emerging Leader in 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Management & Organizational Studies from Western University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Since entering the mortgage industry in 2011, Lisa has worked across all lines of lending including A, Alternative, Construction & Development, Commercial and Private financing. Her experience provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the lending landscape and the ability to develop solutions that meet the ever-changing needs of borrowers, brokers, and investors alike.
Lisa is responsible for ensuring sound risk management practices and supporting business growth through innovative product development and streamlined underwriting processes.
Lisa holds a Diploma in Business Administration, Financial Planning and is passionate about building strong teams, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Janne Farias is a seasoned leader in internal audit, risk management, and governance, with over 20 years of experience across Canadian and international financial institutions. She is currently the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) for Wealth One Bank of Canada. Previously she was the CAE for Questbank, where she built the audit function from the ground up and played a key role in the firm’s transition to a Schedule I Bank. Janne has previously held senior roles including VP of Enterprise Risk Management at Beutel Goodman and CAE at RFA Bank of Canada, where she also supported its Schedule I bank charter.
Janne has been an active volunteer with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Toronto Chapter for the past 10 years. She is currently the Chapter’s President and a member of the Board of Governors. She also served as Treasurer and Chair of the Certification and Membership Committee. Janne is also a member of the North America Content Advisory Committee with IIA Global. She holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil and has an MBA and a Master of Enterprise Risk Management from the Schulich School of Business, York University.
Ruvani Henriques is the Vice President of Marketing & Strategy at Glasslake Funding, with over 18 years of experience in the mortgage industry spanning strategic growth, marketing and sales enablement.
Ruvani holds an Honours BA from the University of Toronto. She’s completed the Queen’s Leadership Program with the Smith School of Business, and is currently enrolled in the Chief Marketing Officer program with the Kellogg School of Education at Northwestern University.
A passionate advocate for women and future leaders, Ruvani is also a mentor with the BeaYOUtiful Foundation. She recently co-launched “Funding Knowledge that Shapes Lives,” an non-profit initiative focused on empowering young girls through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, real estate, and investing.

Zamina Walji is an executive at EQ Bank, where she leads the Growth Businesses Function including the Reverse Mortgage and Insurance Lending businesses.
